Greetings from Vietnam. There’s a welcoming gathering at 6 p.m to kick off adventure. Since Ho Chi Minh City is not a long stop on this journey, why not visit a day or two early to take in the sights? This city has a lively vibe with a strong French influence. Perhaps visit Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, walk to Pham Ngu Lao Street to observe the open-air market, or go on an Urban Adventure with a knowledgeable local guide. Why not join us for an optional group meal this evening after the conference to get to know your fellow travelers and the flavors of Vietnamese cuisine? Take a private minibus south after breakfast at the hotel to spend the day visiting the Mekong Delta. Take a private boat ride over the complex canals, soaking in the peaceful settings and the stunning scenery as you float through this productive area, which is sometimes referred to as the “rice bowl of Vietnam” Male. After disembarking in Ben Tre, explore a coconut garden and take a sampan (small rowing boat) ride through a native home where you can taste tropical fruits and coconut jam. Learn about rural life and the means of subsistence of the people living there by taking a tuk-tuk tour around the villages. Savor a midday meal at a restaurant located in the center of the delta while trying out local delicacies like the well-known elephant ear fish. Then get back on the boat to follow the delta’s main waterways to Ben Tre boat station. After the excursion, return by bus to Ho Chi Minh City. Fly north to Da Nang from Ho Chi Minh City. Take a bus to Hoi An from here, stopping along the route to take in the stunning scenery of the Marble Mountains’ five towering peaks. Hoi An is a great place to see historic Chinese, Vietnamese, and European buildings. The town was a significant commercial port starting in the 17th century, and foreign influences may be observed in the architecture, which is reflected in the town’s numerous temples and guilds. It’s charming and serene, yet very vibrant for such a little community. You’ll pass the low tiled houses and arrive at a Japanese Covered Bridge, a historic house that was formerly the residence of a well-known businessman. Take a leisurely day to see Hoi An, a World Heritage Site. Explore Hoi An’s cultural legacy by meandering around the city’s primary marketplaces and street booths offering wooden furniture, paintings, pottery, lanterns, and other items. Furthermore, this location is well-known for having skilled tailors who can make exquisite products on demand in a matter of hours. Why not rent a bike and explore the nearby countryside for the daring? This is among the greatest approaches to comprehend Vietnamese rural life better. Additional possible activities include a boat ride down the Thu Bon River, a visit to the neighboring Cua Dai Beach, and a day excursion to My Son Cham, an ornate temple that is recognized as a World Heritage Site and showcases the rich cultural traditions of the Cham culture. Today, depart from Hoi An and go via the breathtaking Hai Van Pass, a section of roadway that offers views of Lang Co Beach but is occasionally uneven. Travel on to Hue, the historic capital of Vietnam, stopping route for a brief picture op. Treasures from Vietnam’s royal past may be found in Hue, which also offers an intriguing blend of busy streets and serene surroundings. Visit the Imperial Citadel with your tour guide. This fortification houses both the Forbidden City and the Imperial Citadel. The wreckage and holes left by the bombs are a reminder of the destruction wreaked. This symbol was nearly entirely destroyed during the Vietnam/American War. During free time, visit Dong Ba Market, which offers locally produced goods, fresh produce and delicious street food. We’re going to go on our expedition today from the back of a motorcycle. You will have access to a private driver who will drive you around the Imperial Citadel and to Hue’s unofficial icon, the Thien Mu Pagoda. The location, which is still a functioning Buddhist monastery, was established in 1601. In one instance, a monk set himself on fire in protest of how the South Vietnamese government treated Buddhists. After enjoying a delectable vegetarian lunch at a monastery or Buddhist monastery, travel to Emperor Tu Duc’s imperial mausoleum, which is surrounded by a lake, porcelain bushes, and pine trees. Take the night train back to Hanoi in the evening. Get to Hanoi early in the morning and make your way to your accommodation. The capital of Vietnam is well-known for its lovely lakes, shaded avenues, public parks, and elegant old district. Hanoi, a burgeoning metropolis in Southeast Asia, presents an intriguing juxtaposition of contemporary office towers, historic Buddhist temples, and a labyrinth of historic alleyways. See the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh’s old stilt house, and other landmarks by going on a walking tour of the city later in the day. You may visit the Fine Arts Museum, the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake, or the famed Old Quarter’s “36 Streets” during your spare time. This museum plays a crucial role in maintaining and promoting the cultural heritage of Vietnam’s ethnic communities. Take a private minibus to the magnificent Ha Long Bay, a World Heritage Site. This quiet green bay, filled with islets and limestone caves, is among the most picturesque locations in Vietnam. Visit Sung Sot Cave and the nearby rock formations by boat from here. During the warmer months, you may kayak or swim from Ti Top Island. Surprise Cave is accessible by steps. The route is a little uneven and slick while entering the cave. You may eat on board in the dining area and bar, where you can have lunch and supper consisting of fresh seafood. Spend the evening beneath the starry sky on the boat. Wake up on the waters of Ha Long Bay and before leaving the memorable scenery behind, it’s time for one last stop. Green Life Center is committed to turning Ha Long Bay waste into treasure by collecting waste and skillfully turning it into beautiful handicrafts. Meet the team behind this important cause and learn how to turn trash into useful and reusable bags. After the visit, return by bus to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi late this afternoon and enjoy free time to explore Hanoi’s attractions or do some last-minute shopping. Otherwise, why not relax at a cafe or stop for a beer (freshly brewed beer) at one of the small bars in the Old Quarter? Tonight there will be a farewell dinner with the group at KOTO restaurant, an organization that supports disadvantaged youth to pursue careers in the hospitality industry. The exploration of Vietnam has come to an end today. The last day of the trip has nothing scheduled, however you could choose to extend your experience by joining one of our partners on a quick tour like “Hanoi Street Food at Night” or “Village Exploration by bike.” Furthermore, one may pay a visit to Hoa Lo Prison, popularly referred to as the “Hanoi Hilton,” which housed POWs during the Vietnam War. The Museum of Ethnology also has interesting outdoor and interior exhibitions. If you would want to remain longer, just speak with your booking agent.
