Explore the best of it all before stopping for a vegetarian lunch in a local pagoda. Enjoy a traditional meal and have the chance to chat with the monks to learn more about Buddhism and gain an insight into their daily lives. After lunch, your Hue tour continues with a short ride through the stunning surrounds, passing rice paddies and small towns, before arriving at a village that specializes in making incense. Learn all about this ancient art before continuing on to one of the impressive emperor’s tombs. You’ll then pay a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda, a sprawling temple complex that is perched on a hill overlooking the Perfume River. After a day taking in the many sights, end it with a relaxing afternoon cruise along the Perfume River. If you decide to travel west out of Hue you can experience quite the opposite landscape with hilly routes to the temples, pagodas, royal mausoleums, garden houses and if you continue on you will eventually get to the bamboo forest snaking alongside the Perfume River. You’ll spend the day gazing at the stunning landscapes of Vietnam. Drive through Lang Co, a photogenic coastal fishing village and popular destination for Vietnamese tourists. Continue south through until you reach to the summit of Hai Van Pass “Pass of Ocean Clouds”, a thousand-meter-high mountain pass by the ocean it has been praised by BBC’s Top Gear as the most beautiful coastal mountain road in the world. Stop to drink in and photograph the beautiful view of the coastline. It is notable for its statues of monkeys and dogs, reflective of sacred Japanese emblems. Continue to a Chinese communal hall, a colourful mélange of bright gates, dragon statues and elaborate rooftops. Get an introduction to ancestor worship while visiting the family altar and watching local devotees making offerings. Next stop to visit Thanh Ha pottery village, a traditional village famed for pottery products. Watch how unique pieces are created. Spend your free time to go shopping at Hoi An’s famous handicraft shops, art galleries. Breakfast at hotel and this morning is spent with our Jeep tour to see Danang city. First stop is Marble Mountain, where you will hike to visit a pagoda in a cave with a meditative view from the mountain. Continue driving to Son Tra Peninsula and start your wildlife-spotting trip on Monkey Mountain. The species expected to be seen on the tour is the Red-shanked Douc Langur. The trip will be led by an wildlife expert who has worked for an International Conservation Project in Son Tra for years so no one knows Son Tra better than him. When the tour finishes, the Jeep driver will drive through the “forgotten roads” leading to the former heliport of the USA and Linh Phuoc Pagoda, which has a huge the Goddess of Mercy white statue where you take the chance to learn about the local religion and beliefs.
